Marketing & Communications Manager

We are currently seeking ghly motivated and passionate Marketing & Communications Manager to join our commercial team in Athens | central offices.

The Marketing & Communications Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the company’s marketing communications strategy, including advertising, promotions, public relations, graphics and collateral, so as to support the marketing objectives for the hotels and hereafter brand and maximize the hotels positive exposure in local, national and international markets.

Responsibilities

Develops and implements the annual group marketing and communication plan to achieve budget goals.

  • Develops marketing and communication strategies and initiatives to increase brand awareness and guest loyalty
  • Organizes the participation in awards and certifications that will increase visibility and brand image
  • Maintains an updated and most optimized media library of the properties of the bluegr hotel group.
  • Ensures an updated database of the most optimized creative and collateral (content, facilities and room type descriptions, factsheets, guest directory & Hotel Magazine etc…)
  • Oversees the production of existing collateral and the development of new promotional materials including Press Kits
  • Updates the content of bluegr.com site is updated according to the bluegr standards.
  • Ensures that all third party (OTAs, TOs, TAs) sites or printed brochures have the most updated and optimized content.
  • Adjusts to the needs of the sales department concerning the creation of offers discounts, banners menus, guest directory etc. in a timely fashion and according to the season’s needs.
  • Participates on the preparation of the annual expenditure proposal and the conduction of the Social Media plan and on the monitor of the outsource partners.
  • Works with the S&M team on the joint marketing actions & brochure contribution of the TOs and TAs.
  • Writes & Produces the Press related content (success stories, Press releases, newsletters, mail campaigns, editorials etc)
  • Encourages and create regular press release material highlighting new services, special
  • Monitors PR agencies and handle PR requests.
  • Runs the monthly calls (ensure calls are on, gets feedback, lists actions, updates the agencies with developments, updates bluegr systems).
  • Organizes & Escorts Press Trips, Fam Trips & Individual visits from Travel Agents, bloggers and vloggers.
  • Assists on the creation of the Press related content (success stories, Press releases, editorials etc) and press release material highlighting new services, special promotions, and the Unique Selling Propositions (USPs) of the hotels.
  • Ensures the development of regular contact with media and keep up to date contact lists.
  • Assists on the management of the contracted Media Agencies (annual, monthly plan; press clipping, press trips etc)
  • Negotiates and develops all barter relationships.
  • Ensures that the hotels receive regular exposure in local and international media through print, radio and television.
  • Translates the requirements of the hotel (F&B, Rooms) into a comprehensive and specific advertising brief for the outsource partners.
  • Assists on planning, organizing and overseeing all photography sessions for the hotel.
  • Liaises with F&B and marketing departments to co-ordinate all hotel’s promotions and marketing actions.
  • Maintains contact with hotel’s guests through direct marketing activities.
  • Ensures that the relevant information for guest profiles are entered on the CRM.
  • Establishes, maintains and expands the hotel’s database (including community management & CRM)
  • Together with other S&M team members, oversee and implement any marketing issues of the Guest Loyalty program.
  • Forecasts and allocates the approved budget as per ongoing activities on a monthly basis.
  • Keeps track of the online and offline press clippings.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, Travel, Tourism, Business or relevant field
  • Msc. in relevant fields and or MBA will be considered a plus
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a marketing and communication manager
  • Possesses strong project management skills
  • Strong in marketing communications and PR, including advertising and promotions, collateral production.
  • Keen interest in digital marketing and relevant trends
  • Photoshop editing and design software
  • Proactive resourceful, creative independent & good team player
  • Fluent English (written and spoken).
  • Knowledge of further foreign languages will be positively evaluated
  • Good knowledge of the international, in particular the British & German, media (daily newspapers, lifestyle and travel publications)
  • Experience in public relations/MarComs for a luxury high end product. Luxury Hotel experience an advantage
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and coordination skills.
  • Excellent presentation, planning, organizational and social skills
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Profound knowledge of Social Media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube etc)
  • Digital savvy
  • Attention to detail
  • Good Business acumen
